History

Several years ago, six of my friends and I were living in squalor, just out of college. Our landlord, an ancient lawyer who also happened to be a WWII spy, didn't even have time to lie to us about the repairs he wouldn't do. It was a sad state of affairs.

This was all made worse by "bill" time. Cable, electric, gas and food bills were split amongst us. It took us an hour each month just to figure out who owed what. Then one roommate, Daniel*, had a great idea. He was working in the sordid world of municipal bonds, and knew Microsoft Excel pretty well. He created a handy spreadsheet that let us enter our expenses and figure out who owed what. What a time-saver!

It's long been my dream to bring this convenience to the web. I finally got around to it, so here it is. Enjoy, and I hope it makes your roommate-hood a little easier!
